IUT Mars Rover - is one of the most prestigious teams of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT). From their inception, they have been participating in many international competitions like European Rover Challenge (ERC), University Rover Challenge (URC) etc., and bringing glory to IUT.

This year IUT Mars Rover participated in the Remote version of the European Rover Challenge (ERC) competition. This year they started their journey by recruiting new members, dividing the sub-teams, and making a rough plan in early March 2021. Alongside their academics, all the members of the team worked very hard throughout the competition. In the qualification round, they secured the 3rd position out of 38 teams in the Remote edition. And they secured the 10th position worldwide in the final round, which is the best result by any Bangladeshi team in this competition.

They dedicated this success to one of their former team members, Mr Shahnoor Shamim Khan Pritom, from batch 15 of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE) Department of the University, who recently left this world due to a heart at​​tack. He happened to be an immensely talented soul and was very committed to the team. May his departed soul rest in peace.
