​It is with deep humility and a profound sense of responsibility that I assume the office of Vice-Chancellor of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Gazipur, Bangladesh, a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). I am honoured by the trust placed in me and privileged to serve an institution that occupies a unique position within the OIC as a centre for higher education, scientific advancement and human resource development.

IUT has a distinguished legacy of serving the member states of the OIC through excellence in teaching, research and professional development. Building upon this strong foundation, my aspiration is to work collaboratively with our students, faculty, staff, alumni, industry partners and stakeholders across the OIC community to further strengthen the University’s academic reputation, research capacity and global engagement.

As we look to the future, we will strive to position IUT as a leading international university that contributes meaningfully to knowledge creation, technological innovation, sustainable development and the socioeconomic progress of OIC member countries. My vision is to transform IUT into the OIC’s Green Digital University by 2035.
 
Our priorities will be clear: teach well, conduct research with impact, protect and empower students, promote transparent governance, and advance green and digital transformation. We will focus on future-ready curricula, meaningful industry collaboration, entrepreneurship, inclusive student support, data-driven administration and research clusters in areas such as AI and digital health, smart and sustainable systems, and advanced microelectronics.

The success of IUT has always been rooted in the collective dedication and commitment of its community. I firmly believe that, through excellence, integrity, inclusiveness, innovation and shared purpose, we can further elevate IUT’s standing as a premier institution of higher learning and a beacon of scientific and technological excellence.
