Mosque

The mosque of IUT is beautifully located in the central plaza of the University by the side of the water pool. It is near the academic building, the Library, the Cafeteria, the Auditorium and the administrative building. This allows the students to go to the mosque regularly. The Jumma and the five daily prayers are led by an Imam.

The Religious Affairs Committee looks after the mosque based activities of the students. On some Fridays, famous religious personalities are invited for discussion meeting on different aspects of Islam and to deliver Khutba and to lead the Jumma prayer. The Committee also arranges to offer regular mosque based weekly lessons on Recitation and learning the language of the Holy Quran. Annual Competition of the Recitation of the Holy Quran is organized and the students participate with great enthusiasm.

Laundry

There is a laundry inside the campus at the north west corner. An outside party runs it on contract basis. Students may avail the laundry facilities on payment basis at subsidized rate. The price list of laundering as approved by the University is available at the Laundry House.

Photocopying

Photocopying facility is available in the library for official purpose only. Parts of text materials as recommended by the class teachers may be photocopied on payment @ Tk. 0.50 per exposure. Application forms for making photocopies are available at the library counter. Full details of the rules and request forms are available in the Library.  Requests should be made in advance, as the demands may be quite high at certain times.

Identity Card

Each student will be provided with his Identity Card, which may be collected from the Office of the Registrar after the commencement of the regular classes. Each student is required to submit one copy of his stamp size photograph to the Registrar’s Office for this purpose. This should be carried by the students and should be produced as and when asked by the Authorities in the Campus or Cafeteria or while entering through the gate of the Campus. Necessary fees are to be paid to the Registrar for the issue of identity cards.

Postal Services

There is a post office at National University, Board Bazar, Gazipur 1704, located on the adjacent northern side of the University. However, for convenience of the students, arrangements have been made to provide postal services in the North Hall of the University. This service is available from 9.00 A.M. to 11.00 A.M. on all working days.
