Dr. Omar Jah, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh and Dr. Allison Garrell, President of Emporia State University (ESU), Kansas, USA, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective University on 09 December 2019 at the ESU campus.

Dr. Omar Jah, Acting Vice-Chancellor, is attending the 42nd Session of ICECS being held at OIC Headquarters in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 15 January to 17 January 2019 which is being attended, among others, by the member states as well as subsidiary, affiliated and specialized organs of the OIC.

The 41st CASR Meeting Islamic University of Technology (IUT) held at IUT.

The 28th annual athletics competition of the university took place on Saturday March 3, 2018 at IUT campus. H.E. Mr. Yousef S. Y. Ramadan, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Dhaka and the Hon’ble Acting Vice-Chancellor of IUT, Dr. Omar Jah embellished their chair as Chief Guest and President of the ceremony respectively. The representative of the Embassy of Afghanistan and the High Commission of Malaysia in Dhaka had enhanced the manifestation by their presence.
