Depending on the availability of resources and contributions from the Member States of the OIC, the regular students and trainees of IUT are provided with continental breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner in the self-service cafeteria of the University free of charge, but within Taka equivalent of US $ 50.00 per student per month. They can, however, buy snacks and more food using their own resources. The University also bears the cost of on-campus shared furnished accommodation i.e. one room to be shared by four students. The University also disburses a monthly allowance of Taka equivalent of US $ 40.00 to each regular Instructor trainee, B.Sc. Students and Higher Diploma in Engineering student as personal allowance to cover the costs of stationery, laundry, local transport, snacks and additional food etc. subject to the availability of funds. In addition to the above facilities, subject to the availability of funds, each regular student / trainee is also now exempted from paying the fees for Tuition, Medicare and Sports.
