I am happy to learn that the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) is going to hold it's Sixteenth Convocation on 30 October, 2002. I congratulate the students, teachers and its management for their untiring efforts to make the University a centre of excellence.

IUT was established under the umbrella of OIC. Today, I recall the contributions of Shahid President Ziaur Rahman in the establishement of this unique Institution to impart quality education of international standards in the fields of engineering and technology to the students of Muslim Countries. I would like to reiterate my Governments allout supports and cooperation in further development of this University.

I congratulate the graduating students and wish them all success. The knowledge they acquired at IUT will surely them to achieving professional goals and contribute to the progress of their respective country as well as Muslim Ummah.

I wish the convocation all success.
