For Foreign Students

All students and trainees who are not nationals of Bangladesh are required to submit application in the prescribed form along with their copy of passport showing the visa status and other necessary particulars to the Establishment Office within 15 days of their registration at IUT for onward transmission to the Ministry of Home Affairs for necessary police enquiry and extension of visa, if required. Later on, the students / trainees are to contact personally with their passports to

for their extension of visa, if required. The students/trainees may take the help of senior students in the matter.

The students/trainees shall have to bear the visa fee and other related expenditures on this account. Students/trainees who have got only landing permission or short visa are advised to contact the Establishment Office at least two weeks before expiry of permission/visa for necessary advice on the matter.

Note  : Students/trainees are advised to be very careful in getting their visa extended whenever it is required before their expiry in order to avoid heavy fine for each day of delay. The total may go upto Tk. 6,000/- at the present rate.  The Bangladesh authority may also expel the defaulter from Bangladesh. The University will not bear any responsibility for any default or payment of fines in the matter.
